In the Leninsky urban district of the Moscow region, on the territory of the Gorki Leninskie museum-reserve, there is an amazing Kinogorodok. It was built specifically for the filming of the TV series “Anna-detective” in 2015-2016. This is a small town of 3 streets, built up with houses of the XIX-early XX centuries with the name “Uralsk”, although the city is not real, it is very colorful and cozy.
To recreate the atmosphere of this time on a small plot of land between the V.I. Lenin and the “Gorki” estate were built fake residential buildings, a station, shops, workshops, a hairdresser, a pharmacy, a police station. All this was done for the TV series Anna Detective.
3 streets radiate from the station. The middle street is paved with cobblestones, most likely the main one. On it are beautiful, supposedly stone two-story houses with columns and balconies. On this street there is a watch shop, a bread shop, a pharmacy, a fashion salon, and there is even a tavern. All signs are written with the letter “b” after the consonants at the end of the word, which creates the flavor of the 19th century.
On the right and on the left, the grassy streets are decorated with old lanterns. The lanterns are electric and in the evening in this town it becomes even more comfortable when they light up. On these 2 streets, the houses are mostly wooden, small and simpler. There is a village house with its own yard, where sheep, goats and chickens walk behind a wooden fence.
The town is surrounded by an impromptu city wall with an entrance gate.
The gates are fragments of the walls as if they were part of the ancient Kremlin that once defended this city.
The movie town, built for the filming of Anna Detective, was used as a set for other TV series.
So in 2018, the film “The Secrets of Mrs. Kirsanova” was shot, and from time to time, separate episodes for other films are filmed here. In early June 2020, a fire broke out in the Kinogorodok. The fire covered an area of 600 square meters, the town was badly damaged, some of the buildings burned down completely.
During our visit, a film crew arrived in the town to prepare for the shooting of a new film. Construction work was going on on one of the streets. We hope that Kinogorodok will participate in the filming many times. Walking around the Kinogorodok you are transported to another world, here you can take beautiful photos and they say that quests are held here.
An interesting fact in the TV series “Anna-detective” the action takes place in the small town of Zatonsk. And the name of the city “Uralsk” is written at the Kinogorodka station.
