The Krasnodar Galitsky Park is five times smaller than the Gorky Park in Moscow and one and a half times larger than the Moscow Zaryadye Park. On an area of almost 23 hectares, the designers have equipped 30 walking areas. Urban sculptures, a garden, exotic trees, water rapids, fountains and labyrinths are amazing. An important part of the Krasnodar park is fabulous illumination. After sunset, the alleys sparkle, as if in a scattering of giant stars.
It is important that Galitsky Park is not a decoration, but a multifunctional playground for the whole family. In the summer amphitheater, concerts and open-air films are shown. For active games, they are equipped with a roller track, climbing wall, a rope park and a street basketball court. Grab a bite to eat at the burger bar and café.
Krasnodar City Park is open to the public all year round. But keep in mind that dogs will not be allowed into its territory.
Galitsky Park in Krasnodar, history
In 2017, on the site of a vacant lot and a flower market in the northeast of the city center, a large park was laid out, which became part of the FC Krasnodar stadium. And although the park received the name of the stadium of the same name, it is better known as “Galitsky”. Sergei Galitsky is a businessman who has spent billions of rubles on the creation of a beautiful sight. The park was designed by a German architectural bureau, which planned sports arenas in Sochi, Berlin, Kiev, Brazil and South Africa. Galitsky Park continues to grow and develop. New locations are appearing, and another phase of the parking zone is under construction.
Abstracta
Abstracta is a special wire art object made by a renowned Italian design studio. Due to the illusion of perspective and optical play, the aerial structure looks like a tangible projection of ancient ruins. “An act of imagination” – so they say about “Abstracta”. It connects the ancient Greek Parthenon, the Temple of Vesta and the ancient Roman Forum. What is seen depends on the imagination of the beholder.
The five-meter Inverted Drop
The five-meter Inverted Drop in stainless steel identifies a fraction of a second frozen in metal. The art object stands in a shallow pool and bears another name – “Geolocation”, because it looks like a mark on the map. The mirror surface of the drop reflects the panorama of exactly the place from which the observer is looking at it.
Krasnodar Stadium
Krasnodar Stadium is the highest fourth category of UEFA, in the form of a ring, with a football field in the center. Locals call it “Colosseum”. The sports facility can accommodate 35,179 fans. More than three thousand seats – VIP categories. The spectator stands are covered with a roof of a special cable-stayed construction. Around the perimeter of the building’s bowl, there is a media screen with an area of 4,700 square meters. You don’t have to be inside to appreciate the talent of the stadium’s creators.
Seibu magnificent
Seibu magnificent was landed in the Krasnodar park in the spring of 2020. The relative of the baobab tree is considered one of the most amazing trees in the world. In the Krasnodar park, the seiba winters in the center of the sculptural art gallery under a glass bell. Once a year, the bottle-shaped cotton beauty pleases tourists with large white flowers with purple stamens.
The Mirror Maze with the Royal Delonix
The Mirror Maze with the Royal Delonix is one of the most beautiful trees from the island of Madagascar. When flowering, fiery red flowers bloom on graceful branches. The mirrors surrounding Delonix and the floor in the labyrinth, stylized as soil, create the illusion of an exotic grove. The beauty of the fire tree is emphasized by the pond with carp at the foot.
The French Garden is a collection of symmetrical oases with maples and benches encircling decorative tubs. Green hedges with repeating modular elements separate the garden from other areas.
Palm trees and cypresses in spiral and hemispherical alleys immerse the guest in the atmosphere of warm countries. Tropical trees were brought to Galitsky Park from an Italian nursery. Nowhere in Krasnodar can you see so many evergreen pyramids. Among them you can see araucaria, liriodendron, olive, box and pine bonsai.
A large pond with carp
A large pond with carp – as a separate recreation area, is located behind the stadium. Ornamental red and white carps live in the heated pool. The pond is surrounded by fountains and blooming magnolias. This is a very popular place among tourists.

A multi-figured white plastic mesh bas-relief depicts people in motion. According to the author of the composition, they upload their knowledge of the game to the servers. The idea of this work is to find an answer to the question: is it possible to convey to the machine the feelings of a person involved in the game? The robot understands the concept of “play” in its own way, making its creator a part of the digital world.
