Russian singer Glukoza is a popular celebrity, actress, model, a wife of businessman, mother of two daughters, currently living in Moscow. Natalia Ionova, stage name Glukoza, was born on June 7, 1986 in Moscow, into the family of computer programmers – mother Tatyana and father Ilya. As a child Natasha had many interests and hobbies, learned to play the piano in music school, attended many school clubs, from chess to ballet. At the age of 11 Natasha was shot in the popular children’s television magazine “Yeralash” (Jumble) on the First Channel.
In 1999 she starred in the movie “War of Princess”, which was released 14 years later in 2013. In 2002 Natalia participated in crowd clip “Childhood” with Yuri Shatunov. Natalia recorded her first single “Shuga” In 2001 , which her family shared on the Internet. Record producer Maxim Fadeev, noticed this track, contacted her for further cooperation. Natalya then signed a contract with “Monolith”, co-owned by Maxim Fadeev. This was followed by recording her debut album “Glukoza Nostra” and a tour of the country.
Her singles found great popularity in 2003
When Glukoza released “Nevesta” (English: Bride), accompanied by a computer animated video. Glukoza hit the top of the Russian music charts. Her success was awarded by the MTV-EMA prize for “Best Russian Act”, the Muz-TV award for “Breakthrough of the Year”, and her animated character was named “Character of Year” by the Russian internet search engine “Rambler”.
For the last 10 years Glukoza has given lots of concerts all over Russia from the Far East and Siberia to the Urals and the Volga Region, as well as in Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Central Asia, the Caucasus, London, and the USA. The number of tickets sold for Glukoza’s concerts totals to about 2 million.
Glukoza became the face of Avon Color Trend
The spokeswoman for Motivi clothing and ‘My Scene’ dolls, and lends her animated image and logo to Rekondor Ice Cream. 3 perfumes were also released: G [Gloss], L [Life], and Z [Zoom]. She has also been featured on the cover of such magazines as Elle Girl, Hello Magazine, Seventeen Magazine, and Shape Magazine.
In June 2006 Glukoza married businessman Alexander Chistyakov (b. 1973), the manager of the power supply systems of Russia. The couple has two daughters: Lidiya Chistyakova (born on May 10, 2007) and Vera Chistyakova (born on September 8, 2011). Both girls were born in Spain. She currently lives in Moscow, Russia with her family.
